Lifestyle Electronics

Our Process

A clear, proven process refined over decades of luxury smart home installations in Park City and surrounding Utah communities.

How We Work

Every project is different: different home, different family, different priorities. But our process is consistent. We've refined it over decades and hundreds of installations in Park City and surrounding Utah communities.

That consistency ensures nothing is missed, expectations are clear, and the final system works exactly as promised.

1. Discovery & Consultation

We start by listening. We visit your home or building site and ask how you live, what frustrates you about your current setup, and what you want technology to do.

We assess architecture, existing infrastructure, natural light patterns, lifestyle habits, music zones, security coverage, outdoor spaces, and whether the property is full-time or seasonal.

There is no pressure and no generic package. Every recommendation comes from what we learn in this meeting.

2. System Design

After discovery, we create a custom system architecture with clear pricing, timelines, and specifications. No surprises.

  1. 01Equipment selection based on performance, reliability, and integration requirements, not brand loyalty.
  2. 02Integration planning across lighting, climate, security, audio, video, and shading.
  3. 03Infrastructure documentation including wire schedules, rack elevations, and device locations.
  4. 04Coordination with your builder, architect, and interior designer if construction is ongoing.

3. Installation

Pre-wire

For new construction, we run cable for lighting control, AV distribution, security cameras, network infrastructure, and shading before walls close.

Device Installation

Control panels, keypads, speakers, cameras, displays, and shading hardware are installed according to the design plan.

Rack Building and Termination

Amplifiers, processors, switches, and servers are installed in clean, documented, climate-controlled rack rooms.

4. Programming & Calibration

Hardware is only half the system. Programming is the other half.

We write custom automation logic for morning scenes, evening scenes, away scenes, welcome scenes, and entertainment scenes. We calibrate audio for room acoustics, tune lighting for color temperature and intensity, and program security responses for specific events.

A poorly programmed system is frustrating. A well-programmed system is invisible.

5. Training & Handoff

We don't leave until you're comfortable. We walk you through wall panels, mobile apps, voice commands, and remotes. We demonstrate each scene and explain how to make adjustments.

You receive documentation: network diagrams, equipment lists, warranty information, and our direct contact information.

6. Ongoing Support

Technology changes. Your needs change. We are here for both. Our clients have called us for over 25 years. That is the relationship we build.

  1. 01Remote troubleshooting for many common issues.
  2. 02System updates to keep firmware current and security patched.
  3. 03Additions and expansions when you remodel or want new features.
  4. 04Service calls when hardware needs attention.
